Studio iQ has been operating for over twelve years. In that time we have grown from a small production studio to a forty-eight-person creative agency with capability across video production, animation, digital marketing, brand identity, web design, graphics and performance marketing. Every discipline we added was added because the work we were already doing demanded it. Not because a business plan said it was the next logical category to enter. That approach has produced a team of specialists who are genuinely excellent at what they do. Because they were hired for their craft, not for their availability.

Studio iQ has forty-eight in-house specialists across film production, performance marketing, media planning, web technology, analytics, 3D and CGI, content strategy, animation, graphic design, brand strategy, social media and account management. The studio was built deliberately. Adding disciplines when the work demanded them and hiring specialists when the craft required genuine depth rather than adequate coverage.

The leadership team includes Shweta Pandit as Founder and Managing Director, Saurabh Patil as Co-Founder and Technology Head, Sonal Navani as Director of Client Success, Poonam Adlinge as Creative Director, and Nikhil Mali as Head of Strategy. Each of them came to this studio with a specific excellence in their discipline and a commitment to the standard the studio is built on. The culture of the studio is an extension of how they think about the work. Directly, seriously, and with genuine pride in what gets produced.

Studio iQ hires for craft before everything else. The process is designed to understand the quality of your thinking and the standard of your work. Not to test your ability to navigate a multi-stage assessment process. We move quickly when we find the right person and we are honest when we do not.

Portfolio and Application Review

Every application to Studio iQ is reviewed against the portfolio first. We are looking for evidence of a specific quality of craft - work that demonstrates genuine skill, a clear point of view about what good looks like in your discipline, and at least one piece that makes us stop and look properly. We review every application personally and respond to every one - because a candidate who took the time to apply deserves to know whether they are moving forward. Applications without a portfolio will not be reviewed. If your best work is not online, tell us where to find it.

First Conversation

If your portfolio earns a first conversation, we will schedule a 30 to 45 minute call with the relevant discipline lead at Studio iQ. This is not a formal interview - it is a genuine conversation about your work, how you think about it, what you have made that you are most proud of and why, and what you are looking for in the next stage of your career. We will tell you honestly about the studio, the work, and what the role involves - including the things that are hard about working here, because you should know those before you decide if it is right for you.

Work Review or Brief

Depending on the role, the second stage is either a portfolio deep dive - where we go through specific pieces of your work in detail with the creative leadership team - or a brief exercise that gives you a real creative or strategic problem to respond to. Brief exercises at Studio iQ are genuinely interesting problems, not generic tests. We will tell you what we are looking for, give you enough time to do it properly, and give you specific feedback on the response regardless of the outcome. We do not use speculative creative work commercially - brief responses belong to the candidate and are used only for assessment.

Studio Visit and Decision

Final stage candidates are invited to visit the studio in Navi Mumbai - to meet the team, see the environment, and make the decision about whether this is the right place as much as we make the decision about whether you are the right person. Most candidates who reach this stage and visit the studio know within an hour whether they want to work here. We make the decision quickly after the visit - typically within two working days - and we give specific feedback to candidates who are not progressing so the visit is valuable regardless of the outcome.

Is Studio iQ open to candidates from outside Navi Mumbai?

Yes. Studio iQ welcomes applications from candidates across India. All roles are based at the studio in Navi Mumbai and are on-site - we do not offer remote or hybrid arrangements for creative and production roles. We understand that relocation is a significant decision and we are happy to discuss relocation support for the right candidate as part of the offer conversation. If you are based outside Mumbai and seriously considering the role, tell us in your application - we will factor that into how we schedule the process.

Do you offer internships or graduate roles?

Yes. Studio iQ takes on a small number of interns each year across design, animation, marketing and production disciplines - typically final-year students or recent graduates with a portfolio that demonstrates genuine craft potential. Internships at Studio iQ are paid, structured, and designed to produce real professional development rather than administrative support. Several of the studio's current permanent team members joined as interns. Internship applications follow the same process as permanent roles - portfolio first, then conversation. If no internship is currently listed send a speculative application with your portfolio and we will assess it when a relevant opportunity arises.

What does a strong portfolio look like for Studio iQ?

A strong portfolio for Studio iQ shows work that demonstrates a genuine standard of craft - not volume, not variety, not credentials, but one or two pieces that make the reviewer stop and look properly. For design and creative roles we are looking for visual intelligence, attention to detail, and evidence of a point of view about what good looks like. For strategy and marketing roles we are looking for work that demonstrates commercial thinking connected to creative output - not just strategy documents or campaign plans, but evidence of how the thinking translated into work that produced real results. For production roles we want to see the best work you have ever made and an honest account of your specific contribution to it.

How long does the hiring process take?

Studio iQ moves quickly when we find the right candidate. From a first conversation to an offer typically takes two to three weeks for most roles - covering the first conversation, the portfolio review or brief exercise, and the studio visit. We do not run month-long hiring processes with multiple assessment rounds. If the work is right and the conversation confirms it, we make a decision. We communicate the timeline clearly at each stage so candidates know what to expect and when - because a candidate managing other processes deserves enough information to do that properly.

Does Studio iQ consider candidates who are currently employed and serving notice periods?

Yes. Studio iQ regularly hires candidates who are in notice periods with their current employer. We respect the professional obligation to serve out a notice period properly and we will hold a role for the right candidate through a reasonable notice period. Tell us your notice period at the application stage so we can factor it into the timeline. We do not expect candidates to compromise their professional obligations to their current employer as part of joining Studio iQ - because that would tell us something about how they might eventually leave Studio iQ.

What is the working culture like day to day?

Studio iQ is a studio that works hard on the work it takes seriously - which is all of the work. The pace is high, the standard is demanding, and the expectation is that every person brings their best to every brief. The culture is direct - feedback is honest, decisions are made without excessive process, and the hierarchy is flat enough that a junior designer can challenge a senior creative direction if the challenge comes from a genuine understanding of what would make the work better. Deadline periods are intense because the work demands them. The rest of the time is productive without being pressurised.

Do you sponsor visas for international candidates?

Studio iQ does not currently sponsor visas for international candidates. All roles are open to Indian citizens and candidates with existing right to work in India. If your situation is different from this, please note it in your application and we will respond honestly about whether we can accommodate it.

How do I apply?
