STUDIO
3D ANIMATION

We make things visiblethat have never beenseen before.

Photorealistic. Precise.
Built to convince.

Studio iQ is a 3D animation studio in India producing photorealistic product animation, architectural walkthroughs, industrial mechanism visualisation, 3D character animation and 3D brand films for corporate brands that need to show what a camera cannot capture. Over a decade of 3D animation production. Every render built to the standard the brief demands.

Hero Image. 3D animation production or photorealistic 3D render. Could show a photorealistic 3D product render, an architectural visualisation at completion quality, a 3D industrial mechanism animation frame, or a behind-the-scenes view of Studio iQ's 3D production pipeline showing modelling workstations and render farms. Should communicate the technical excellence, visual quality and commercial precision of the studio's 3D animation work.

WHAT THIS ACTUALLY IS

3D animation does not just show
your product. It shows it at its
absolute best.

Supporting Image. A photorealistic 3D animation still demonstrating the production quality of Studio iQ's 3D work. Could show a product render at a quality indistinguishable from photography, an architectural interior with photorealistic lighting and materials, or an industrial mechanism cross-section revealing internal components with technical precision and visual clarity.

There is a category of communication problem where photography and live action film simply cannot provide the answer. A product that does not yet exist. A mechanism sealed inside equipment that cannot be opened for a camera. A building that is two years from completion. A molecular process happening at a scale invisible to any lens. For all of these problems the answer is the same. 3D animation that reconstructs the subject in a digital environment with the precision required to make it visually credible and commercially persuasive.

Photorealistic 3D animation has reached a standard where the question for most viewers is not whether it looks real but whether they noticed it was not. Studio iQ produces 3D animation at that standard. Using physically-based rendering, accurate material simulation, and lighting that behaves the way light behaves in the real world. The result is 3D animation that sells the product, the building, or the mechanism with the same credibility as photography of the real thing. And in many cases with more precision than photography could achieve.

The commercial applications of 3D animation in corporate communication are broader than most brands realise. A pharmaceutical company showing a drug's mechanism of action to a medical audience needs the same production standard as a real estate developer showing a penthouse apartment to a pre-sales buyer. Because in both cases the 3D animation is doing the persuasion work that no other medium can do for that specific brief. Studio iQ has produced 3D animation for both of those briefs and for every industry in between.

3D animation is the most technically demanding discipline in the Studio iQ production portfolio. It is also the one with the most direct commercial impact when it is produced correctly. Because it makes visible the things that would otherwise require the audience to imagine, and audiences that can see what they are buying buy with more confidence than audiences that cannot.

WHAT WE PRODUCE

Six types of 3D animation.
Every one built to show what
no camera could capture.

Card Image. Photorealistic 3D product animation still. A product rendered in 3D at a quality indistinguishable from photography. Could show a consumer product, technology hardware, pharmaceutical packaging or industrial equipment rendered with photorealistic lighting and material accuracy.

01

3D Product Animation

Photorealistic 3D product animation for marketing, e-commerce, investor presentations and product launches. Studio iQ produces 3D product animation at the standard where the question is not whether it looks real but whether the audience notices it is not. The product is modelled to engineering accuracy, lit to photographic standard, and animated to show every angle, every detail, and every movement that makes the product worth buying. For products that cannot be filmed. Pre-launch, sealed mechanisms, microscopic detail. 3D animation is the only option that delivers at the quality the brief requires.

Card Image. Architectural 3D walkthrough still. A photorealistic interior or exterior architectural render showing a building or development at a quality that communicates the finished space with complete visual credibility. Accurate materials, lighting and spatial relationships.

02

Architectural Walkthrough Animation

Photorealistic architectural walkthrough animations for residential developments, commercial real estate, hospitality projects and infrastructure. Produced before a single foundation is laid. Studio iQ produces architectural walkthroughs that make buyers, investors and planning authorities experience a building before it exists, with the material accuracy, lighting quality and spatial intelligence required to make that experience genuinely persuasive. The walkthrough is not a visualisation of a floor plan. It is the experience of being inside the finished building. Which is what sells it.

Card Image. Industrial mechanism or technical 3D animation. A cross-section or exploded view of a mechanical system, industrial equipment or engineered product showing internal components with technical precision and visual clarity.

03

Industrial and Mechanism Animation

Industrial and mechanism animation makes the invisible visible. The internal workings of sealed equipment, the sequence of a manufacturing process, the assembly of a complex engineered system. Studio iQ produces technical 3D animations for engineering companies, manufacturers, defence contractors and industrial equipment suppliers who need to show how their products work to audiences who need to understand it clearly before they will buy, specify or approve it. Engineering accuracy is not optional in this discipline. It is the entire point.

Card Image. Medical or pharmaceutical 3D animation still. A scientifically accurate 3D animated frame showing a biological mechanism, pharmaceutical interaction, medical device function or anatomical process. Produced to the standard required for medical and scientific audiences.

04

Medical and Pharmaceutical Animation

Medical and pharmaceutical 3D animation sits at the intersection of scientific accuracy and visual clarity. Studio iQ produces mechanism of action films, surgical procedure animations, medical device demonstrations and patient education content for pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers and healthcare providers. The animation is produced in close collaboration with the client's scientific and medical teams to ensure accuracy. Because in medical communication, a beautiful animation that is scientifically wrong is worse than no animation at all.

Card Image. 3D character animation still or character design. A well-designed 3D animated character in a corporate or brand context. Showing the combination of technical modelling quality and expressive character design that communicates both craft and commercial purpose.

05

3D Character Animation

3D character animation for brand mascots, product spokescharacters, gaming-quality character cinematics, and character-led corporate films. Studio iQ produces 3D characters that are modelled, rigged and animated to a standard that makes the character feel credible in the world it inhabits. Whether that world is photorealistic, stylised, or somewhere between the two. Character design is developed from the brand brief and the communication objective. Never from a stock character library that another brand has already used.

Card Image. 3D brand film or cinematic 3D animation still. A cinematic 3D animated frame from a brand film or campaign production. Showing the combination of production quality, creative vision and brand communication that defines a Studio iQ 3D brand film.

06

3D Brand Films and Cinematic Animation

3D brand films and cinematic animation productions for brand campaigns, launch events and broadcast advertising. Studio iQ produces 3D animation at the cinematic standard. With the lighting, rendering, and post-production quality that places the work in the same visual tier as international broadcast and streaming content. For brands that want their animated communication to command the same attention as a premium live action production, 3D cinematic animation is the discipline that delivers it.

WHY STUDIO IQ

Technical precision and creative
intelligence in the same studio,
on the same brief.

Studio iQ is a 3D animation studio in India with in-house capability across 3D modelling, rigging, animation, physically-based rendering, lighting, visual effects, compositing and post-production. Every discipline required to take a 3D brief from concept to final render is managed in-house. Which means the creative direction and the technical execution are held to the same standard by the same team throughout the production process.

We have produced 3D animation for pharmaceutical companies, real estate developers, manufacturing firms, technology hardware brands, medical device manufacturers, defence contractors and consumer goods companies. For each client the brief has a different technical requirement. Pharmaceutical mechanism animation requires molecular accuracy, architectural walkthrough requires material and lighting accuracy, product animation requires engineering accuracy. Studio iQ brings the relevant technical discipline to each brief without compromising the creative quality of the output.

The render farm at Studio iQ produces outputs at the quality the brief requires rather than the quality the timeline allows. We build render time into every production schedule. Because a photorealistic 3D animation that was rushed through rendering is not photorealistic, and a 3D animation that is not photorealistic does not do the job it was commissioned to do.

Section Image. Studio iQ 3D animation production environment. Could show 3D artists working at high-spec workstations with 3D models visible on screens, a render farm setup, or a creative review of 3D animation output. Should communicate the technical capability, the production scale and the quality standards of Studio iQ's 3D animation operation.

Accuracy is not optional here.

It is the entire brief.

HOW WE WORK

From 3D brief to final render.
A process built for technical
precision and creative quality.

3D animation production is the most technically complex discipline in the studio. Every stage from modelling to final render involves decisions that are both technical and creative. And getting either kind wrong produces work that fails to do its job. Studio iQ's process manages both dimensions at every stage.

01

Brief and Reference Collection

We start by collecting everything that informs the 3D build. Engineering drawings, CAD files, reference photography, material specifications, brand guidelines and the creative brief. For architectural projects this means the architectural drawings, material finishes schedule, and the visual references that define the aspirational tone of the development. For product animation it means the engineering CAD files, the real material finishes, and the brand's visual standards for product photography. The quality of the 3D output is directly related to the quality of the reference material we begin with. We tell the client exactly what we need before production begins.

02

Modelling and Lookdev

3D modelling builds the digital geometry of every object in the scene. The product, the building, the mechanism, the environment. For photorealistic productions this means modelling to a level of detail that holds up under close camera inspection at every angle the animation requires. Lookdev. Short for look development. Is the process of building the materials and shaders that make surfaces behave the way real materials behave under light. A brushed aluminium surface that scatters light correctly. A glass panel that refracts and reflects with physical accuracy. Concrete that has the right micro-texture. Lookdev is where the difference between credible and unconvincing 3D is made. We present test renders for client approval before the full scene is lit and animated.

03

Animation, Lighting and Rendering

Animation is produced once modelling and lookdev are approved. For mechanism and product animations this is primarily technical. Ensuring every movement follows the correct mechanical logic of how the product actually operates. For architectural walkthroughs it is cinematic. Camera moves that make the space feel experienced rather than surveyed. For character animation it is performance. Making the character feel alive and expressive. Lighting is set after animation is approved. HDRI environment lighting and photometric light sources positioned to create the atmosphere the brief requires. Rendering produces the final high-resolution frames from the complete 3D scene. A process that is always allocated sufficient time in the production schedule to produce the quality the brief demands.

04

Compositing and Final Delivery

Compositing combines the rendered 3D frames with any additional visual elements. Atmospheric effects, depth-of-field refinement, colour grading, motion blur, lens effects. And produces the final graded output that goes to sound design and final delivery. Studio iQ composites 3D animation in the same colour pipeline as the final delivery format. Ensuring the graded output on the client's screen matches the intended look of the production. Final delivery covers every format, every cut, and every technical specification required for the client's use cases. Broadcast masters, web-optimised files, social media formats, and high-resolution still renders where required.

NexTower. A photorealistic 3D
walkthrough that pre-sold a
development before the foundations
were poured.

NexTower came to Studio iQ with a pre-sales brief and a problem that no camera could solve. The residential development they needed to sell was eighteen months from structural completion. The site was a cleared plot. The product that buyers were being asked to commit significant capital to did not exist in any form that could be filmed or photographed. Studio iQ produced a photorealistic 3D architectural walkthrough built from the architectural drawings, the interior design specifications, and the materials and finishes schedule provided by the project team. The walkthrough showed the development at completion. The lobby, the apartments at multiple levels, the terrace, the view corridors, the amenity spaces. With the material accuracy and lighting quality that made the experience of watching it feel like a visit to a finished building rather than a preview of an unbuilt one. The walkthrough was the centrepiece of the sales launch event and the primary asset in the digital campaign. Pre-sales reached ninety-two percent of units before structural completion. Site visit requests tripled in the first month of the campaign running. The total campaign reach was one point eight million. The 3D walkthrough was not a supplement to the sales process. For the eighteen months before the building existed, it was the sales process.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Everything you want to know before
briefing a 3D animation studio in India.

How much does 3D animation cost in India?

3D animation production costs in India range from approximately 80,000 rupees for a single hero product render with basic animation, to 15 lakh rupees or more for a photorealistic architectural walkthrough of three to four minutes or a complex mechanism animation with multiple camera sequences. The cost is determined by the complexity of the 3D modelling required, the quality of the rendering specification, the duration of the animation, the number of environments and camera sequences, and the post-production requirements. Studio iQ provides a transparent production estimate with a detailed breakdown after the initial brief and reference material review.

How long does 3D animation production take?

3D animation production timelines depend on the complexity of the modelling, the rendering specification, and the duration of the final output. A photorealistic 3D product animation of thirty to sixty seconds typically takes four to eight weeks. A full architectural walkthrough of two to four minutes typically takes eight to sixteen weeks depending on the complexity of the development and the number of interior and exterior spaces. Medical and mechanism animations of sixty to ninety seconds typically take six to ten weeks. Studio iQ provides a clear production timeline at the start of every engagement with client review stages built into the schedule.

Do you need CAD files or engineering drawings to produce 3D animation?

For product animation and mechanism animation, engineering CAD files are the most efficient starting point and produce the most accurate 3D models. Where CAD files are available Studio iQ imports and prepares them for animation production. Where CAD files are not available we model from engineering drawings, dimensional specifications, and reference photography. For architectural walkthroughs we work from architectural drawings, BIM models, and the materials and finishes schedule. The quality of the reference material provided directly affects the accuracy of the 3D output. We advise on exactly what is needed for each production type at the brief stage.

What is the difference between photorealistic and stylised 3D animation?

Photorealistic 3D animation is produced with the goal of making the output indistinguishable from photography or film of the real object. It uses physically-based rendering, accurate material simulation, and photometric lighting to achieve a result that the viewer accepts as real. Stylised 3D animation intentionally departs from photorealism. Using a more designed or illustrative visual language that is clearly animated while still being produced in 3D. The choice between the two is a communication decision. Photorealism is required when the audience needs to believe the object is real. Product launches, architectural pre-sales, medical communication. Stylised 3D works when the goal is brand personality and visual distinctiveness rather than documentary accuracy.

Can 3D animation be used for broadcast television?

Yes. Studio iQ produces 3D animation to broadcast specifications for television commercials, broadcast documentary productions and streaming platform content. Broadcast 3D animation is rendered and delivered in the correct frame rate, resolution, colour space and format for the specific broadcaster or platform. We have produced 3D animation for national broadcast campaigns and for international streaming platforms. Broadcast specifications are confirmed at the brief stage and incorporated into the rendering and delivery pipeline.

Do you produce still renders as well as animations?

Yes. Studio iQ produces photorealistic still renders alongside 3D animation from the same production pipeline. For architectural projects this means hero exterior and interior renders in addition to the walkthrough animation. For use in print marketing, digital advertising, planning applications and investor presentations. For product animation projects this means hero product renders for e-commerce, campaign materials and packaging design alongside the animated content. Still render requirements are confirmed at the brief stage and included in the production scope.

What industries do you produce 3D animation for?

Studio iQ produces 3D animation for real estate and architecture, pharmaceutical and healthcare, engineering and manufacturing, technology hardware, consumer goods, automotive, defence and aerospace, energy and infrastructure, and retail and FMCG. 3D animation is particularly suited to briefs where accuracy and visual credibility are non-negotiable. Pharmaceutical mechanism of action films, engineering product demonstrations, architectural pre-sales. And to briefs where the product or building cannot be filmed because it does not yet exist or cannot be accessed.

How do we start a 3D animation brief with Studio iQ?

The first step is a discovery call. A 30-minute conversation about what you need to show, who the audience is, what reference material is available, your timeline, and your approximate budget. Sharing any available CAD files, engineering drawings, architectural drawings or material specifications before the call helps us give a more accurate production estimate. If these are not available, no preparation is needed. We will advise on what is required after the brief discussion. We respond to all new enquiries within one working day.
