STUDIO
EXPLAINER VIDEOS

If your audience does notunderstand your product inninety seconds you have lost them.

Make the complex feel obvious.
Make the obvious feel essential.

Studio iQ produces animated explainer videos for corporate brands, SaaS companies, financial services firms, healthcare providers and any business whose product or service requires more than words to explain properly. Not explainers that describe features. Explainers that create understanding, build confidence, and move the audience closer to a decision.

Hero Image. Explainer video production or a finished explainer video still. Could show a still from a high quality animated explainer video demonstrating the combination of visual clarity, narrative intelligence and production craft that Studio iQ brings to explainer production. Could alternatively show the storyboarding or script development stage of an explainer brief. Communicating the depth of thinking that goes into the production before a single frame is animated.

WHAT THIS ACTUALLY IS

An explainer video is not a
product tour. It is the moment
your audience finally gets it.

Supporting Image. A high quality explainer video still showing a complex idea being made clear through animation. Could show a product or service being explained through a clean visual metaphor, a process being simplified into a clear animated sequence, or a concept landing with the kind of visual clarity that makes the audience feel they understand something they previously could not explain. Should communicate the clarity and intelligence of a Studio iQ explainer.

Most explainer videos fail for the same reason. They were written by someone who already understood the product. The script lists every feature in the order the product team finds them most impressive. The animation illustrates the words literally. The viewer watches ninety seconds of animated information and comes away knowing slightly more about the product and no more confident about whether it is right for them. That is documentation. It is not an explainer.

An explainer video that works starts from the audience's perspective. Not the product's. It begins with the problem the audience is living with, the reason the current solutions are not good enough, and the moment when the product or service changes that reality. The features appear as the evidence that the change is real. Not as the subject of the video. That structural shift, from product-out to audience-in, is the difference between an explainer that a viewer watches and one that a viewer finishes and then shares with a colleague.

Studio iQ has produced explainer videos for SaaS companies that reduced their onboarding support tickets by forty percent. For pharmaceutical companies whose medical representatives used the explainer to open conversations that previously required three meetings. For fintech startups whose investor explainer closed a funding round that two previous pitch decks had failed to close. In each case the explainer worked not because it explained the product clearly but because it explained the problem clearly first. And then made the product feel like the obvious answer to it.

Studio iQ writes, designs, animates and delivers explainer videos for corporate brands that are ready to stop explaining their product and start convincing their audience. The distinction is small in language and enormous in commercial outcome.

WHAT WE PRODUCE

Six explainer video formats.
Every one built to create
understanding that converts.

Card Image. Product or SaaS explainer video still. A clean, visually intelligent animated frame from a product explainer. Showing how a digital product, platform or SaaS application is being explained through animation with clarity, warmth and visual simplicity that makes the product feel immediately accessible.

01

Product and SaaS Explainers

Product and SaaS explainer videos for companies whose product requires a demonstration before the audience will trust it enough to try it. Studio iQ produces product explainers that start with the problem the product solves. Not the features it offers. And build the case for the product through the lens of the audience's experience rather than the product team's specifications. The result is an explainer that makes the product feel like it was built for the specific person watching it. Which is the feeling that precedes a sign-up, a trial, or a purchase.

Card Image. Financial services or fintech explainer video still. An animated frame from an explainer making a complex financial product, investment concept or fintech service feel clear and trustworthy. Using visual metaphor and animated simplicity to make the abstract concrete.

02

Financial Services Explainers

Financial products are among the most difficult things to explain to a non-specialist audience. Because the complexity that makes them powerful is the same complexity that makes them intimidating. Studio iQ produces financial services explainer videos for banks, asset managers, insurance companies, fintech startups and investment platforms. Making complex financial products feel straightforward without making them feel oversimplified. The animation uses visual metaphor and sequential revelation to bring the audience from unfamiliarity to confidence in the time it takes to watch a short film.

Card Image. Healthcare or medical explainer video still. An animated frame from a patient education or healthcare explainer. Clear, accurate, visually warm. Could show a health concept being explained through accessible animation, a medical procedure being communicated to a patient audience, or a healthcare product being demonstrated with both scientific accuracy and human warmth.

03

Healthcare and Medical Explainers

Healthcare communication has two audiences with completely different needs. The clinical audience that requires scientific accuracy, and the patient audience that requires human clarity. Studio iQ produces healthcare explainer videos for both. For pharmaceutical and medical device companies communicating to healthcare professionals we produce clinically accurate mechanism of action and product explainers. For patient communication we produce explainers that make medical information feel genuinely accessible. Honest, clear and designed to reduce anxiety rather than increase it.

Card Image. B2B or corporate process explainer video still. An animated frame from a B2B explainer showing a service, process or corporate offering being made clear to a business decision-maker audience. Professional, authoritative, visually intelligent.

04

B2B and Corporate Explainers

B2B explainer videos have a specific audience challenge. The viewer is not just evaluating the product, they are evaluating whether the company behind it is serious enough to trust with a business relationship. A B2B explainer that looks like it was produced with the budget of a startup communicates something about the company's standards before the first sentence has finished. Studio iQ produces B2B corporate explainer videos that communicate the product or service with clarity and the company behind it with the authority that corporate decision-makers require before they will take the next step.

Card Image. Investor or fundraising explainer video still. An animated frame from an investor explainer. Communicating a business model, market opportunity or growth story with the visual clarity and commercial confidence that an investor audience requires.

05

Investor and Fundraising Explainers

An investor explainer has one job. To make the business opportunity feel obvious to someone who has never heard of the company. The market size. The problem being solved. Why the solution works. Why this team can execute it. Why now. Studio iQ produces investor explainer videos for growth-stage companies and startups raising capital. Taking the pitch deck narrative and giving it the animated visual language that makes the opportunity feel real rather than theoretical. Several of the investor explainers Studio iQ has produced have been credited by founders as the asset that changed the outcome of their fundraising process.

Card Image. Internal or employee explainer video still. An animated frame from an employee communication, onboarding or training explainer. Clear, engaging, brand-consistent, designed to make internal communication feel as considered as external communication.

06

Internal and Employee Explainers

Internal communication is the category where most companies accept lower production standards than they would for external-facing content. Which is why most employees disengage from internal communication and why most organisational change programmes fail to land as intended. Studio iQ produces internal explainer videos for employee onboarding, culture communication, policy and compliance briefings, and organisational change programmes. To the same production standard as external content. Because the employees who watch these videos are the same people who produce the external-facing work that the brand depends on.

WHY STUDIO IQ

We start every explainer brief
with the audience's confusion.
Not the client's product.

Studio iQ is an explainer video production company in India with in-house capability across scriptwriting, storyboarding, illustration and character design, 2D and 3D animation, voice-over production, sound design and final delivery. Every discipline required to take an explainer brief from the first conversation to a finished film is managed in-house. Which means the strategic thinking that shapes the script is connected to the creative thinking that shapes the animation. That connection is what makes an explainer video communicate rather than simply describe.

We have produced explainer videos for SaaS companies with products so complex that their own sales teams struggled to explain them. For pharmaceutical companies with mechanisms of action that required scientific accuracy and visual simplicity simultaneously. For financial services firms with products that had been explained to potential clients in three different ways without any of them working. In each case the solution was the same. Start with the problem the audience was trying to solve, not the product the client wanted to explain.

The explainer videos Studio iQ produces tend to have a longer commercial life than the industry average. Not because we build in planned obsolescence, but because an explainer built around a genuine audience insight rather than a current product feature set remains relevant longer. Several Studio iQ explainers have been in active commercial use for four to five years after delivery. Because the problem they addressed has not changed, and neither has the clarity with which the animation addressed it.

Section Image. Studio iQ explainer video production process. Could show a storyboarding session with the script visible, a character design review with the client present, an animation review at the work-in-progress stage, or a team discussing the narrative structure of an explainer brief. Should communicate the depth of thinking, the collaborative approach and the production seriousness that Studio iQ brings to every explainer video brief.

Understanding before features.

Every explainer. Every time.

HOW WE WORK

From explainer brief to a film
your audience watches to the end
and then sends to someone.

An explainer video that gets forwarded is one that made the viewer feel something. Recognition, clarity, confidence, the slight embarrassment of realising they should have understood this earlier. Studio iQ's process is designed to produce that feeling by starting with why the audience did not understand before, not with what the client wants to say.

01

Discovery and Script

We start by understanding the audience. Not the product. What does the target viewer currently believe about the problem the product solves. What is the most common misconception. What is the specific moment of doubt that prevents them from taking the next step. The script is written from that understanding. Beginning with the audience's reality, building to the product as the resolution of their specific tension, and ending with the single most important thing we need them to believe or do when the animation finishes. The script goes through a collaborative review process with the client before any visual development begins. We do not begin designing until the script is genuinely right. Because an animated bad script is a bad script that took longer and cost more to produce.

02

Storyboard and Visual Direction

Once the script is approved we develop the storyboard. A frame-by-frame visual plan of the entire explainer, showing how every line of the script will be communicated visually. The storyboard stage is the most important creative review in the explainer production process. It is the point where the visual metaphors are tested, the narrative pacing is assessed, and the overall clarity of the communication is evaluated before a single frame is animated. Changes at the storyboard stage are straightforward. Changes after animation has begun are expensive. We invest significant time in the storyboard stage because every hour spent there saves multiple hours in production.

03

Animation and Voice-Over Production

Animation production and voice-over recording happen in parallel where the script includes narration. The voice-over is directed in studio with the creative director present. Not sent to a remote artist with a script and a brief that was written for a reader rather than a speaker. The pacing of the voice-over determines the timing of the animation. Which means the two must be developed together rather than one being fitted to the other after the fact. Animation is produced to the storyboard approval and reviewed at the halfway point of production so that timing and pacing can be assessed before the full production is complete.

04

Sound Design and Final Delivery

Sound design is applied once picture lock is confirmed. For explainer videos this means a music track that supports the emotional register of the narrative without competing with the voice-over or the visual information, and sound effects that give the animation a physical presence without becoming distracting. Final delivery covers the primary explainer in the agreed duration, social media cuts in all required formats, and subtitle files in all languages required. We also deliver a without-narration version as standard. Because many clients need to use the explainer in environments where audio is not possible, and a well-designed explainer should be able to communicate visually without sound.

EduSpark. An explainer that turned
a complicated product into a
category that made sense.

EduSpark had a product that their own team described differently in every sales conversation. Not because they did not understand it, but because nobody had ever made the decision about what the single most important thing about the product actually was. The explainer brief arrived at Studio iQ with a forty-slide product deck, a list of seventeen features the client wanted included, and a duration requirement of sixty seconds. The script development process identified the real problem immediately. Every feature the client wanted to include was an answer to a question the audience had never been asked. The script was rebuilt from a single audience insight. That the people most likely to enroll in an EduSpark course were people who had already tried to learn the same thing through another route and stopped. They were not looking for more features. They were looking for a reason to believe this time would be different. The explainer started with that feeling. The specific experience of being two weeks into something and already losing momentum. And built the case for EduSpark as the structure that makes the difference between stopping and finishing. Seventeen features became one truth. The ninety-second explainer was embedded on the homepage and used in all paid campaigns. Return on ad spend from campaigns featuring the explainer reached four point two times. Twenty-eight thousand student enrollments were driven in the first quarter. The cost per acquisition from campaigns using the explainer was sixty percent lower than from campaigns that did not use it. The explainer ran unchanged for eight months. Three times the average digital content lifespan. Because the truth it communicated had not changed.

The audience seeing themselves in the animation before the product is introduced. Should communicate the narrative intelligence and visual warmth of the production.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Everything you want to know before
briefing an explainer video production
company in India.

How much does an explainer video cost in India?

Explainer video production costs in India range from approximately 1.5 lakh rupees for a sixty-second 2D animated explainer with a standard illustration style and rigged character animation, to 8 lakh rupees or more for a premium ninety-second to two-minute explainer with custom character design, complex environments and original music composition. The cost is determined by the animation style, the duration of the final video, the complexity of the illustration and animation, the voice-over requirements, and the number of formats required for delivery. Studio iQ provides a transparent estimate with a full breakdown after the initial discovery call and script brief.

How long should an explainer video be?

The most effective explainer videos are between sixty and ninety seconds long. Short enough to hold the attention of an audience that did not choose to watch it, long enough to build the narrative that makes the product feel like the right answer to the problem. An explainer under sixty seconds rarely has room to establish the problem before presenting the solution. Which means the audience has no emotional stake in the answer. An explainer over two minutes asks for more attention than most audiences will give a product video unprompted. Studio iQ edits every explainer to the length the script requires. And is honest when a brief calls for a shorter or longer format than the client originally specified.

Can you write the script for our explainer video?

Yes. Studio iQ writes explainer video scripts in-house. The script is the most important element of an explainer video. More important than the animation style, the character design or the production quality. A beautifully animated bad script produces a beautiful explainer that does not work. Studio iQ's scriptwriting process starts with a discovery session that maps the audience's current understanding, the specific point of confusion or hesitation, and the single most important thing the explainer needs to make the audience believe or do. The script is built from that foundation. Not from the client's product deck or feature list.

What animation styles do you offer for explainer videos?

Studio iQ produces explainer videos in 2D illustration and character animation, flat design motion graphics, isometric animation, whiteboard-style animation, mixed media combining live action with animation, and 3D animation for explainers that require technical product visualisation or photorealistic environments. The animation style is selected based on the communication objective, the audience, and what visual language will make the message land most effectively. Not based on what is currently fashionable in explainer video production. Studio iQ advises on the appropriate style for every brief and produces a custom visual direction rather than applying a template style.

Do you provide voice-over for explainer videos?

Yes. Studio iQ provides voice-over direction, casting and recording for explainer videos. We work with professional voice-over artists across English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati and other regional languages. For explainers requiring a specific vocal quality. Authoritative, warm, energetic, technical. We cast against the brief rather than defaulting to a standard voice. Voice direction sessions are conducted in a professional studio environment with the creative director present. We also deliver a without-narration version of every explainer as standard, for use in silent-viewing contexts such as trade shows, retail screens and meetings where audio is not appropriate.

How do you handle technical or complex subject matter?

Studio iQ has produced explainer videos for pharmaceutical mechanisms of action, financial derivatives, industrial automation systems, AI and machine learning platforms, medical devices with complex operating procedures, and engineering processes with no consumer-facing equivalent. In every case the process is the same. We research the subject thoroughly, we work with the client's technical team to ensure accuracy, and we find the simplest true statement about how the thing works before building the visual explanation around it. Technical accuracy and audience clarity are not in conflict. They require the same rigour applied to different ends of the same brief.

Can we update our explainer video if the product changes?

Yes. Studio iQ retains all project source files after delivery and can update explainer videos when product features, brand guidelines or market positioning change. Minor updates. New feature additions, pricing changes, brand refresh. Can typically be made efficiently from the existing animation files. Significant updates. New product positioning, complete rebrand, fundamental change to the value proposition. May require a partial or full rebuild. We advise on the most efficient approach for each update request and provide a transparent estimate before any work begins.

How do we start an explainer video brief with Studio iQ?

The first step is a discovery call. A 30-minute conversation about your product, your audience, where the explainer will be used, your timeline, and your approximate budget. The most useful preparation is not a product deck or a feature list. It is a clear description of the specific moment in your sales process or customer journey where people stop understanding and start hesitating. That moment is where the explainer needs to work.
